GO LEAN Ltd is celebrating its six year anniversary. We wouldn't be here without the support of our team, our customers, consortium partners, suppliers and angels. The dedication of our employees, their faith in the vision, innovation and support have been incredible.
2024 has been a year of incredible achievement
We have appointed Oliver Buhlinger CEng as CEO in July 2024. We have since doubled revenue over the last financial year, delivered key projects, and built the largest ever pipeline of opportunities.
We have launched the GO LEAN SMART FACTORY solutions framework with our Consortium of solutions partners, to help SMEs and large corporations with Lean & Digital Transformation, Automation & Robotics and Material Handling challenges. This led to winning projects with a leading global fenestration manufacturer. On 18 December GO LEAN launched its digital tools with a cross functional team of 300 employees. The solutions engage the people, maximise adoption and bring the team along on the improvement journey. The digital tools harness the tacit human knowledge and innovation through collaborative assessments and chatbots. Contact us if you’re currently introducing automation or digital transformation but haven’t yet made sure your employees are fully engaged and bought in. It requires surprisingly low effort, but the gains are invaluable and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
Virtual Factories, Simulation and Digital Twins
We are building the largest twin of a factory to date, a 400,000 square feet plant with an additional 250,000 square feet of external storage and logistics. The team are in Phase 1.2 of the project, developing automation opportunities and proving the concepts in the virtual world, providing a safe and collaborative environment for the customer to further develop their operational centre of excellence.
„Our advanced and digital approach to mapping factories and facilities is ultimately saving our customers time and money and gives them an accurate current and future state of their operations. It allows them to gain value at every step of the project. The customers can continue to use their digital factory to plan, train their teams and market their business. The icing on the cake is the ability to use the twin for CAPEX and OPEX simulations and visualisation of metrics and performance, overlaid onto the digital twin.“ - Oliver Buhlinger, CEO
Material Handling Product Development
We successfully completed the development of our EMOVELIFT & EMOVEFORK platform, modular material handling solutions. In November we completed the commissioning of the EMOVEFORK series 0015-3 engineered product, for our customers. The system moves and lifts chemical pots at 1,500kg safely in very tight spaces and has eliminated forklifts and manual handling by 4 operators, whilst speeding up transfers between multiple stations. The clearances during pick and place were only 7mm, no problem for our novel drive configuration and precise haptic control.

Mobile Robot, Drives & Controls Development
Over the last two years, we developed our 4ARM™ mobile robot platform and drives and controls kits for material handling, lifting and robotics applications. A 5,000kg lift capacity 4ARM is running off our production line early 2025, as part of orders won for the 15,000kg and 5,000kg 4ARM™, for a $4.5 billion revenue biopharma customer. This model is one of the lowest in class at under 160mm height.

Growing the GO LEAN Team
We are proud to have grown the team to 5 employees;:
We have recruited Jordan as Head of Automation, recent graduate Tia as Graduate Design Engineer, Callum as Senior Design Engineer, and Chris is celebrating a two year anniversary as Business Administrator. We have a number of non-executive advisors supporting us in financial strategic, HR and business development activities. In 2025 we aim to make a number of strategic hires from senior positions to interns, these roles will be advertised.
A year of Opportunities
„This is an opportunity to support the industry with cutting-edge solutions. As we enter our seventh year of operations, we are positioned in high growth markets. The drive for safety and productivity in the UK is on an upward trajectory. The moving away from traditional handling to safer and smarter solutions is a good indicator that as an industry, we are heading in the right direction. Freeing up the people to do the value added tasks and employing automation and robotics will see the UK advance in the global productivity race. I thank our team, our customers, consortium partners, suppliers and our angels. The dedication of our employees, their faith in the vision, innovation and support has been incredible. I am extremely excited to lead this next era of growth, focusing on customer projects, technology development and business strategy execution.” - Oliver Buhlinger CEng, CEO

The History of GO LEAN
GO LEAN was founded in December 2018, with a vision of building a technology solutions company, and automation, material handling and lifting machinery original equipment manufacturer OEM through the LEAN MOVE® brand. LEAN MOVE® is developing safe, efficient, and electric solutions for SMEs and large corporations, including mobile robots, pallet movers, scissor lifts, autonomous solutions, and automation & robotics standard & turnkey solutions.
Oliver has steered GO LEAN as founder for the past five years, investing heavily in research & development activities, developing business opportunities and strategic partnerships, funding the business through consultancy services in Lean Six Sigma, Business Improvement, Software Development, Digital Twins, Simulation of Manufacturing Plants, and management of Automation & Robotics Projects from concept through to successful commissioning.
Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics STEAM
GO LEAN, as part of its corporate social responsibility actively promotes attracting & developing the current and next generation of science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics STEAM professionals to bridge the skills gap and create a more diverse workforce in the UK and globally. Oliver has been a STEAM champion for over 10 years. As a STEAM mentor, Oliver has mentored over 50 students since 2014, working with organisations including Brunel University London, the Association for Black & Minority Ethnic Engineers AFBE, University College London, Hertford Regional College, Anderson&scholars, the University of Nottingham, She Can Engineer, The University of Bath, the University of Befordshire, Mary Seacole, and University College Birmingham.
This year our team ran a STEAM workshop at Hertford Regional College. On Tuesday 5 November, we gave an overview of industries, digital twins, system integration and automation & robotics. We ran a careers session and the seven (8) deadly wastes. The students walked through a virtual twin LEAN MOVE® product and then assembled the real machine. The students, Electrical Engineering and T-Level, were grateful and inspired. The team are already planning a next workshop with the Digital T-Level Courses. If you are interested in running any activities with us, please contact us.
