Appointment of Oliver Buhlinger CEng as Chief Executive Officer

The Company is pleased to announce, Oliver Buhlinger CEng MEng MIET MIMechE was officially appointed as full-time Chief Executive Officer, of GO LEAN Ltd, effective from 15 July 2024, signalling a new era of innovation and growth.
GO LEAN was founded in December 2018, with a vision of building a technology solutions company, and automation, material handling and lifting machinery original equipment manufacturer OEM through the LEAN MOVE® brand. LEAN MOVE® is developing safe, efficient, and electric solutions for SMEs and large corporations, including mobile robots, pallet movers, scissor lifts, autonomous solutions, and automation & robotics turnkey solutions.

Oliver has steered GO LEAN as founder for the past five years, investing heavily in research & development activities, developing business opportunities and strategic partnerships, funding the business through consultancy services in Lean Six Sigma, Business Improvement, Software Development and Digital Twins and Simulation of Manufacturing Plants, and management of Automation & Robotics Projects from concept through to successful commissioning.
The three-year development of the LEAN MOVE product range led to our first OEM orders for the 1,500 kg EMOVEFORK, to improve safety, efficiency and eliminate forklifts and manual handling

In 2022 Oliver led the development of our mobile robot drive and control system, and winning orders for the 15,000 and 5,000 kg 4ARM™ for a $4.5 billion revenue biopharma customer.

Oliver is a chartered engineer with 28 years of industry experience, innovating award-winning solutions and teams. Oliver Graduated top six of his class, with a first class honours Master of Mechanical Engineering Degree from The University of Brighton. Oliver's previous deployments include:
Senior Manager of Operations at Oxford Nanoimaging ONI throughout 2018, leading the building of the state-of-the-art cleanroom manufacturing facility and offices, and growing the manufacturing and operations team four times, scaling the manufacture of the Nanoimager six times. The Namoimager is the world’s first desktop, super-resolution, single-molecule imaging platform capable of visualizing and tracking individual molecules in complex systems such as nanoparticles, living cells, and tissue with 20 nanometer resolution. ONI closed a $75 million series B round in 2022.
Co-Founder and Head of Technology of an AI startup, heading technology, software, and twin development for over 5 years, leading to acquisition in 2023. After the acquisition by a Group of Companies, Oliver headed the Technology Team and served as Interim CEO. Through innovation, Oliver delivered significant ROI, working with clients to execute AI-assisted digital transformation and designing, implementing, and de-risking £ million capex automation projects, including Howden Compressors, Johnson Controls International, Kudan, Hozelock, Apollo Fire Detectors, Fluke, PepsiCo and Walkers, Meter & Control, Unilever, MCS Control Systems, and Flexotronix.

Oliver was instrumental in the design & building of the Hayward Tyler Group's Luton Centre of Excellence. From Graduate to Senior Manager, Oliver headed the development of the Sales and Operational Planning & Simulation capabilities at six global sites, namely Hayward Tyler Luton & East Kilbride, Peter Brotherhood Peterborough, Hayward Tyler Inc Vermont, Hayward Tyler Kunshan China, and Delhi India. Oliver's work won the Operational Research Society President's Medal, MX Smart Factory Award, and Witness Simulation Project of the Year at the Manufacturing Technology Centre's Manufacturing Digitalisation Conference. The Centre of Excellence was officially opened with a Royal Visit by HRH The Prince and Princess of Wales in 2016.

Oliver designed over 10,000 square meters of facilities, building a virtual reality simulation model, proving and de-risking an over £10m capex investment and £20m total investment into the systems and people, resulting in £multimillion cost benefits. Oliver invented material handling and automation machinery that enabled the doubling of the site's throughput and £5m capex avoidances, whilst making the site safer by reducing crane use by half and eliminating forklift trucks from the flowlines. The successful acquisition of Hayward Tyler Group by Avingtrans is a testament to an incredible amount of projects delivered in just four and a half years.

Oliver will continue his work as a thought leader, having spoken at events globally, including the Manufacturing Summit in Barcelona, The Manufacturing Leader's Summit, The Manufacturing Digitalisation Conference, and the SME Growth Summit.

Through this work, Oliver will continue to play a key role in driving change and strategic growth in the economies and growing GO LEAN's presence in the marketplace.
GO LEAN, as part of its corporate social responsibility actively promotes attracting & developing the current and next generation of science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics STEAM professionals to bridge the skills gap and create a more diverse workforce in the UK and globally. Oliver has been a STEAM champion for over 10 years. As a STEAM mentor, Oliver has mentored over 50 students since 2014, working with organisations including Brunel University London, the Association for Black & Minority Ethnic Engineers AFBE, University College London, Hertford Regional College, Anderson&scholars, the University of Nottingham, She Can Engineer, The University of Bath, the University of Befordshire, Mary Seacole, and University College Birmingham.
